When & Where?

Touch rugby at Milwall Rugby Club was sponsored in the past by O2 and runs as part of the #O2Touch initiative. It usually runs on Millwall Park to replace regular training during the summer.

It also runs on Sundays all year round, but the Sunday sessions are informal subject to 8+ people turning up and may not always have a dedicated organiser. We find people tend to turn up anytime between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and will play for as long as they want to. It's best to bring a ball with you if you have one.

Current session times

  • Sundays at 12.30pm until 2.30pm or later (informal only see note above)
  • Mondays 7pm for a 7.30pm start until dark (to replace training during the summer months)
  • Wednesdays 7pm for a 7.30pm start until dark (to replace training during the summer months)

To check the dates we are playing see the club calendar which is also shown on the front page of the website.

Sessions are free of charge, so there's no reason not to come along and try us out. Although, it's true that we do encourage and you to become a member to support the club.

In addition, for members of the club, we have teams that enter competitions. Just like our full contact rugby at Millwall, to play in one of our touch competition teams you must be a member of the club, and pay the appropriate match-day subs as a contribution towards costs/laundry etc.

Organising Committee: Matt O'Leary, Nigel Webb, Darryl, Mike Beech, Scott Vinnicombe and Andrew Hesselden. Contact us at touch@millwallrugby.com

There are no changing facilities on the park, so we suggest you bring a plastic bag to protect your belongings if it rains as well as a large bottle of water to drink.

The Park is right next to Island Gardens Station. Here is a map:
