OK - Here's the basic guide to what your team needs, how to submit the team, and what prizes are on offer. You can join anytime, but points will only accumulate from the time your team is registered!

Picking a Team

You will have to pick the following players;

• THREE Front Row Forwards (props and hookers)
• TWO Second Row Forwards
• THREE Third Row Forwards (flankers and No.8)
• ONE Scrum Half
• ONE Fly Half
• TWO centres
• THREE Backs (wings and full-backs)

Each player will be given a STAR RATING (1 – 10, with 10 being the highest rated players) based on ability and form as defined by the Fantasy League administrators (please note that this rating is highly subjective and may not reflect the current playing performance of any player - bargains and overpriced nancies abound!).

You must select 15 players in the respective positions, picking each player once only, and not exceed 80 STARS.

The STATS section of the game will allow you to get an idea of the most popular players and most successful in terms of fantasy points scoring potential in the various positions. Each player also has his own individual profile which will also help you in making the right choice for your league winning squad. There are over 130 players in the squad, so there's plenty of potential to pick a unique combination.

Name Your Team

Your team must be provided a name. Please note any names deemed inappropriate or offensive will not be allowed.

Entry Fee

There is a £10 entry fee per team. This fee will provide you with ability to build your team of 15 players. Additionally, there will be one transfer ‘window’ in January 2005 when up to 5 transfers can be made for an additional £5.

Payment can be made at the Club Shop , or a cheque/cash can be handed to Eoin O'Connor. However your team selection will either have to be submitted by online or handed to the Fantasy League administrator.

Prizes

Overall Winner; MRFC Merchandise to the value of £100.

Team of the Month; MRFC Merchandise to the value of £25, starting with October 2004.

Merchandise can be selected from any items in the Club Shop. If the items you wish to purchase cost more than your prize, you can add your own money to make up the total value.

Monthly winners will be notified by email, and the overall winner will be presented with their prize at the Annual Dinner in May 2005.

Points

The ONLY results used for the game are those initially reported by the Team Managers.

* Other fixtures (ie Vets) will be awarded scores at the same level as 3rd XV fixtures. Youth fixtures are not included.

Transfers

Each manager will have up to 5 TRANSFERS that can be made in the transfer period in January 2005. There will be an additional cost of £5 to make transfers.

Competition Dates

The competition will run throughout the official rugby season, covering matches from 4 September 2004 through to the last fixture which is identified for the purposes of this game as 16 April 2005.
