18 teams...

Tables and chairs for all...

Mike Beech (the Quizmaster) and John Stevens (his Monkey)...

Chairman Matt sells the raffle tickets...

Silly St. Paddy's Day hats and decorations at to the atmosphere...

Serious faces indicate that some teams thought hard about their answers...

even if their scores didn't always reflect this effort...

Though it wasn't freezing, it could certainly have been warmer...

Its probably the first time the larger arch has had sustained heat in it for 25 years (big gas bottle visible bottom left)...

Coats and scarves were the order of the day for the most cold-blooded participants...

Ably supplied with essentials by Tan & Shaf in the kitchen...

And, of course, a mountain of excellent grub donated by the quizzers themselves...

And then, with only 1 round to go, the lights go out (fortunately, the emergency lighting in the kitchen and toilets remained on for the duration..)

Luckily, we had 400 Tea light candles available, which were quickly distributed and added somewhat to the atmosphere...

as well as demonstrating that the clubhouse is certainly not a finished project!!!

Enjoyed by all, and raising nearly £700 for the Clubhouse & Tour funds, it is sure to be the first of many great nights at our clubhouse.
