A complete Floor for arch 2 !

The whole floor area now has a raised plywood covering, properly supported on joists.

And, a considerable start has been made to fixing the joists between the steel RSJ's.

Above these will be boarded to give a floor to the upstairs area. Eventually, the underside will be plasterboarded to provide a ceiling.

Other work that took place...

The council's contractors arrived to clear the strip of land running from our 'back door', behind the other arches, to the gate at the northern end. This was deemed a severe fire risk and posible health hazard - once cleared it will provide our fire escape route.

3 large skips were filled with overgrown weeds and residents' rubbish which had previously blocked the access way.
