Press Office

PRESS REPORTS

In March 2004, Matt Shorrock agreed to become the Club's first dedicated Press Officer. Although we have many Press Cuttings from before this date, the actual articles written by the club (including those never published) are lost. Thus, the "Press Articles" section only holds copies of articles written during and after March 2004. All reports are recorded here.

PRESS CUTTINGS

We have scanned a number of the press articles which have featured Millwall Rugby Club. You can view this page by clicking here. Each image is a "thumbnail" copy - just click on it to see the full sized copy.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL

PRESS OFFICE JOBS - HELP REQUIRED!

Delivering Flyers

Matt Shorrock has several thousand information flyers to try to get through the front doors of people on the Island, to make sure they are aware of the Rugby Club and its youth section. Matt already has a small team of helpers but, if you only have a little time at weekends or evenings, you could help out Matt with delivering these. With so many new houses going up, there is likely to need to be “top-up” deliveries periodically after the main bulk have been delivered. This would suit people who cannot commit to any particular time but would like to help out.

Publicity Helpers

There are several small tasks within this heading. We need someone who lives close to Decathlon (or visits it regularly) to make sure that there is always a Millwall poster on their “Local Clubs” noticeboard. Sometimes the posters last months, others only weeks. In the past it has been a valuable source of new players. A separate task would be to make sure there are posters/adverts in Asda and the local gyms etc – the key to this task is to keep checking its there nd to replace it often before it gets tatty. These tasks only take a few minutes a week or so, but they can be very valuable to the club.
